Our Textile Arts Club is a tight-knit community of young creatives learning skills and creating projects with a focus on weaving, but drawing upon all the textile arts to broaden their knowledge and understanding of this fun and engaging discipline.
Skill Level: Beginner
If your child is in school years 2 or older, they are welcome to join us for our after school Textile Arts Club to refine their Textile Art skills! Over the course of 10 weeks (except half term), your child will learn a variety of weaving techniques with different yarns and materials and will create projects that match their skill level. In the past, children have made wall hangings, bookmarks, lavender sachets and more!
Our Textile Arts Club is designed for children to build confidence in working with materials by exploring the basics of weaving. The weekly workshops are open to boys and girls who enjoy being creative, whether it's in school or at home.
Each child will need a Rainbow Weaving Frame Loom & Tool Set at the beginning of each 10-week session, which can be purchased when booking or brought from home if they already have one.
What to expect:
- A fun and creative environment
- Experienced and patient tutors
- New friends who love weaving as much!
- All weaving materials are provided
What to bring:
- Rainbow Weaving Frame Loom & Tool Set (if you don't already have one, you can purchase one when booking)
- Water bottle and a snack if coming straight from school
- Enthusiasm! =)
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We hope to see your child soon!
