Are you stuck setting up your loom, working out a pattern or struggling with a new technique? Then you'll be pleased to know that we are making ourselves available to help you with your weaving struggles in our new private Online, In Studio or Home Visit weaving sessions for individuals or groups.
Cassandra Smith, the textile designer and hand-weaver behind The Oxford Weaving Studio will be hosting these private sessions and will give you the choice to meet online via Zoom or GoogleMeet, in our Oxford-based studio or in your own home. These 1 or 2 hour sessions will be set at a time convenient for you so that you can get the personal attention you need to solve your weaving problem.
These sessions are designed to complement our in-studio group and private workshops, clients who have purchased weaving kits from us or elsewhere as well as tapestry and hand-weavers living at a distance who may just need a bit of guidance or advice to get themselves back into weaving.
Previous queries that we Ihave been able to help with include assembling a loom without instructions, setting up and weaving on a Rigid Heddle loom, advice on purchasing a loom, learning Double Cloth, threading up a table loom, winding a warp and re-learning specific weaving techniques.
