Our Classic Collection of Weaving Frame Looms (pictured here with our Weaving Tool Sets and Yarn Starter Packs) features our popular solid beech frame looms. Designed by Cassandra Smith of Cassandra Sabo Designs and constructed by a local Oxfordshire craftsman, our solid beech frame looms are available in 2 sizes. They are excellent looms for all abilities as they durable, compact, easy to use and set up, as well as kind on the environment.
Their simple design also enables users to store their loom when not in use by removing the wing nuts and breaking the loom down into a small, compact size. A small pouch is included to store the wing nuts for safe keeping.
Medium (Solid Beech):
Our medium, Solid Beech Frame Loom is our most popular product online. Its handy size (with internal, weaving dimensions slightly larger than A4 or letter size) is perfect for beginners or advanced weavers alike as it is quick and simple to set up. It is great for weaving bracelets, small-medium wall-hangings, lavender sachets, pouches & purses etc.
Dimensions: 30cm x 36.6cm with a weaving width of 25cm x 31.5cm
Large (Solid Beech):
Our large, Solid Beech Frame Loom is a great loom for larger projects or the more ambitious weaver. It has the same design as our Medium Frame Loom, so it is suitable for weaving all those projects plus cushions, bags and larger-scale wall-hangings or anything else you can dream up!
Dimensions: 50cm x 63.3cm with a weaving width of 45cm x 58.2cm
Our unique design has a Sett of 2, 4, 8 or 16 EPI, not found anywhere else!
Our unique loom design also has specific spacing between notches so that the loom can be set wider apart for beginners and closer together for more experienced weavers or delicate work. The different spacing, also known as the 'Sett', can be 2, 4, 8 or 16 EPI (ends-per-inch), a feature unique to our loom design as it was designed with hand-weaving in mind. It can act as a stepping stone to hand-weaving as any design created on the frame loom can be re-produced on a hand loom or floor loom using the same patterns, yarns and spacing. This enables users the opportunity to progress from a beginner tapestry weaver to a hand-weaver as they build in skill and confidence.
