Over the past 5 years we have re-designed and updated our frame looms to arrive at our final version of The Oxford Frame Loom (V4). While our looms were undergoing changes we kept some of our looms in the studio to use as demonstrators, for our own use in workshops or for design purposes. We are now liquidating all these old looms to make room in the studio.
The looms we have available range from our original frame loom design right up to the previous version of The Oxford Frame Loom. They are generally in very good weaving condition, with the exception of a few which may have chipped heddle bars or minor scuff marks on the loom.
As these are some of our very last looms from the studio, there are different versions, with different spacing (EPI), some are single-sided. As such, some are not being supported in the future, meaning there may be no further opportunity to buy an extra heddle bar or stand for some looms. Please refer to the images and charts for specific information.
A new bonus feature (unavailable to earlier looms) is that each loom now comes with its own wool felt storage pouch so that it can be stored safely when not in use. There are different colours and some may have light discolouration, but they are all fit for purpose.
Below we outline the weaving & loom condition, dimensions, pouch colour & condition, loom spacing, adjustability, and a range of distinguishing features for each loom to help you find the right fit for your budget and weaving ambition.
The looms have also been categorised as excellent, good or fair in terms of their weaving ability to assess the difficulty of setting up a warp if the heddle bar has been compromised by chipping or scratching.
Pricing for each loom is a combination of all these factors.
