This product is part of the Oxford Weaving Studio Archive Collection. Although no longer part of our permanent range, each pack contains the same carefully selected, high-quality yarns and fibres used throughout our weaving collections.
Our gorgeous Weaving Yarn Starter Packs of high-quality weaving yarns and fibres are perfect for creating luxurious textures and patterns! Featuring a range of contemporary colour palettes, these packs will add depth and dimension to any weaving project.
Compostable Packaging
We're continually improving our packaging, and all Medium and Large Yarn Starter Packs are now supplied in clear, compostable bags that are kinder to the planet. Simply add the bag to your home compost where facilities allow.
Thoughtfully prepared yarns and fibres
Many of our packs now feature easy-to-handle tapestry bundles, skeins or yarn ball/cakes. This will help make sure your yarns arrive in the best condition, will help you avoid tangling your yarns while weaving and will serve as a reminder how to best store your yarns when not in use.
Each pack contains:
- 3 x Coordinating colours of 23.4 micron Merino wool roving
- 2 x Super Chunky Merino wool
- 1 x Kilcarra Tweed wool
- 2 x Cotton Cord (1.5mm- Small, 3mm- Medium & 5mm- Large)
- 1 x Cotton 4-ply warp yarn

- Small: 60g
- Medium: 275g
- Large: 550g

I source my yarns primarily from trusted UK-based suppliers, many of whom I've worked with for years. These are the same high-quality yarns and fibres I use in my own weaving practice, chosen for their colour, texture and reliability, so you can feel confident using them in your own creative projects.
